Design Wall/Birthday Gift from Japan

I have to share these two unrelated things. One is 3 1/2" half square triangles and the other is my birthday gift from my son (who lives in Saitama Japan) and his fiance' who both seem to know my likes! Thanks, kids! I am really excited about learning something new!

Ok so what do I do with my 3 1/2' triangles? Any suggestions?

What fun triangles! You can't go wrong with cows and pigs. Perhaps something kaleidoscope-ish? Have a blast with your present from Japan! It looks intriguing! :)

If you need any supplies for your thoughtful gift - we have a quilt shop here that specializes in that kind of thing - http://www.intfab.com/

they do most of their business online but I've been a customer for 20 years now!

I just love pinwheels, so there you go! Use a fun background, like grass :-) Have fun with the new technique, and post when you get something done with the triangles!

Thanks Nina Marie: I will definitely need some supplies. Do you do shishiko? Got pics?
