Book Recommendation
Dear Chicks and Babes- I wanted to recommend The Friday Night Knitting Club, by Kate Jacobs. I think Debbie said she already read it. I got my copy from the library, otherwise I would share it. Save a hankie for the end... The only down side is that reading does take away from knitting, but at least you would be reading about knitting... Susan

Yoga bag from Hell / Oh shit, the straps are on crooked!
The President resigns/ ex Prez sighted at Lunch!
Susan's Personal Shopper/Thanks Suzanne!
Fellow Balls people: Remember when I asked (and only Suzanne kindly abliged) if anyone was going to Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter before we met for lunch? Thanks Suzanne! Remember Susan was complaining she wanted her own personal shopper! Well, here it is!!!!
Susan needed fabric for eye bags for her teen yoga class. I took pictures of scrap fabric laying around my house and she kindly selected out the ones she wanted and the ones she did not like went back into my scrap basket. So dont forget we all have a personal shopper friend once in a while!
Lunch was fun!
her pick: pink with leaves, black with stars, multi with black moonish thingys
her pick: black, orange, reddish, yellow with bees
Susan: you know I love you! or I wouldnt be teasing you this way!

Here
Here are the two projects I am currently working on......an afghan that will never be done and seems to be changing patterns as I go along and a scarf that hopefully will be finished today. As soon as I finish the scarf I am going to do the hat that goes with it. Anything to avoid going back to the afghan!
Going to give the hat/scarf set to my son's GF.
Hey, Carolyn's mother's other daughter hand delivered freshly made, piping hot cheese and egg biscuits to my door this morning right after I had poured myself a cup of coffee! What a way to start the day!
See ya'll tomorrow!

Storm Yarn
Do ya'll have a good stash of yarn for tomorrow's winter storm? This one is suppose to be the biggie, so I hope you are prepared. I, of course, have my afghan to continue pressing away at.... No time for an emergency trip to the D store. Stay warm. Jane, are you still with us?

What we did on our retreat or Chicks with Balls projects
The Weekend Retreat or Jane gets boobs!!!
We went to the Mountain House (I should really say, Susan's mountain house) but when we are there we are all in sync and one! Thanks Susan for having this house and inviting us! I am not sure how to start this post because so much happened and because of my age, I can not remember the sequence of events. So first, I will show you pictures of Susan's mountain home. The weather was good but we all were wishing for snow!!! Never happened!!! Others of us, we wishing Susan wouldn't want to walk around in the mountains. Well, we wished and wished and wished but knew if she asked, we would go anyway! ( I think it was more, we might talk about the one or ones who stayed back LOL)
The weekend went like this: we knit, we snacked, we knit and snacked, we had lunch, we knit, we snacked, we went for a walk, we knit, we snacked yet again!
One interesting thing, while we were talking about another women we all know, who had breast augmentation. We decided that Jane would be a good candidate for breast augmentation so here is Jane!!! What nice breasts she has!!!

Melanie's afghan
This is the afghan Melanie made for Paul. It has a cute little heart on the left hand corner that she designs. It measures 52 x 52 and took her several weeks to make because she started it during exam week at school. At one time, she was calling it the blanket from hell but it really came out nice! The picture doesnt do it justice!
So Susan, have afghaning!!!
